Cloud Component

A component of the App’s software that runs on a server not under control of the App User.

An App may have more than one Cloud Component; for example, when the App incorporates Web Services from 3rd party Service Providers.

Examples:

• a database run on an Amazon Web Services server;
• notification infrastructure run by Google;
• a website run on a physical server operated by an App Creator.
